Hi,
I saw a "True Crime" TV-show in Pueblo, CO and I would like to find
out more information on the crime, specifically the name of the
alleged murderer and his whereabout (or "whom I should contact to
contact this person"). The reason I am interested is that the
information on TV program lead me to a reasonable doubt that this man
did not commit the murder and therefore deserves more investigation.
The story goes something like this. A little girl was murdered in some
town and at the time of the murder a man (the man who was later found
guilty by a court) was living with his brother.
It turns out that this man had been diagnosed with a mental illness in
the past and lived with his parents until they died. Afterwhich, he
lived with his brother.
He was questioned about the murder but he had an alibi in that he was
at work at the time the murder most likely happened. One of the key
witnesses later changed his story so that the time the murder may have
occurred was changed and they were able to link the man to the murder
who was later convicted of the crime.
During questioning, the man who was later convicted of the crime's
behavior was quite weird. He occasionally would tell investigators
that his name was a name that was not his official name, female names.
The piece also showed a videotape in which the alleged assailen, in a
"police questioning room", sang a Sunday School song. Also, during
questioning, the alleged assailent continued to speak of the Lord
while the investigators continued to ask him about "truth". Further,
during the trial, the alleged assailent "uttered no word in his
defense" (this was the commentator's statement before the segement
wrapped up to the best of my recollection; the gist is certainly
correct).
What is strange about his answers (or not answering) questions during
the investigation and subsequent trial is that the truth is,
literally, Jesus. If an investigator said, "Tell us the truth" and the
alleged assailant said, "Jesus", then the man was literally speaking
the truth (Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life). Further, Jesus
did not speak many words in His defense prior to being crucified - as
a sheep before her shearers is silent, so was He. Likewise, if the
alleged assailant made no remarks in his defense at the trial, he may
have been simply following the Lord.
Therefore, I would like to investigate this matter further and to do
so I am seeking your help; what is the name of the alleged assailant
and in what state (if you have the city, too, that'd be great but not
necessarry) is he currently incarcerated in?
Thanks. |

It was also one of those famous TV shows, like "Unsolved Mysteries",
that is, not local to Pueblo, CO.

Can you recall any more details from the program? A location, even
it's one you don't recognize? Age of the victim? Anything?

No not really. They just had a re-enactment in which they showed
normal houses. The area wasn't one which I was familiar with and may
have happened in the East but that's just a best-guess.
It was a weird segment and I'm surprised more people aren't familiar
with it; it really stuck with me.
The other few rememberances of the man is that they mentioned he had
been involved in an incident in which he supposidly stole purses from
a church while wearing women's clothes. But as to where I don't know.
FWIW, I do recall seeing a show similar in nature which I was able to
verify although the date is incorrect when I saw it:
http://www.unsolved.com/0000-GordiePage.html
The site claims "As seen on September 6, 2001" but I do not see how I
saw it then. This involves Gordie Page, another incident that sort of
stuck with me. All I can say is that the TV show was similar but I
have checked Unsolved Mysteries' website in the past for more clues
about the particular case I am interested in.
But I'm positive as to when I saw the TV show originally, April or May
of 2001, most likely April as that is when I received a job at Arby's
in Pueblo, CO.

More Information:
Apparently the case made many headlines wherever he was indited. The
segment showed TV-news footage in which he was either questioned or
simply spoke-out to the TV-camera and/or news reporters. He mentioned
something about working and he replied something like, "people don't
give me a chance." IIRC, he was wearing a ski-cap (not the kind that
covers the face, just the type one might wear in cold weather and fits
tightly against the skin [similar to a skull-cap]).
Since the case was supposidly solved, it probably would not have been
on Unsolved Mysteries nor on America's Most Wanted. I probably saw the
TV show on a cable network. The program was probably similar to
Unsolved Mysteries or AMW but is a "True, Weird Crime" program.
As for the age of the girl, that's about it, just a young girl and I
infere she was under the age of 10.

The re-enactment of the man's being questioned by police showed the
suspect stating that he experiences "black outs" and most likely was
diagnosed with MPD/DID.

I've been glancing at:
http://www.crimelibrary.com/
It has a photograph of Robert Downey, Jr. on it and about that same
time I was very concerned about Robert Downey, Jr. (he may have been
arrested around then).
Definitly not Hadden Clark although there are a few similarities in
that after his brother kicked him out (not Hadden, the person I'm
concerned about), he went homeless for a while; it was during this
homeless period that the other crimes occurred and after the victim's
father (or whoever) changed the story of when it occurred, they were
able to serve the warrant for the arrest for the man who was later
charged with the crimes (the subject of my question) - meaning between
the time of the murder and conviction, the man went homeless for
sometime.
