Dear prosperouslunatic-ga,

I?m not sure which country you are from so I have looked at the advice
issued by the US authorities.

There is no specific warnings about not travelling to Thailand. There
is, however, advice as to what you should do before you go, and what
not to do while you are there. There has been no confirmed cased of
Avian Influenza A/(H5N1) reported in Thailand since December 2004.

US State Department - travel warnings for Thailand. You are referred
on this advice to the below fact sheet. I advise you to read both in
their entirety.
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1040.html

?Avian Flu Fact Sheet
October 19, 2005
The Department, the CDC and the WHO have not issued any travel alerts
or warnings for avian flu-infected areas.  However, the CDC advises
travelers to countries in Asia with documented H5N1 outbreaks to avoid
poultry farms, contact with animals in live food markets, and any
surfaces that appear to be contaminated with feces or fluids from
poultry or other animals.?

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Advice on travel and precautions. Again I recommend you read all the leaflet.

?CDC has not recommended that the general public avoid travel to any
of the countries affected by H5N1. Persons visiting areas with reports
of outbreaks of H5N1 among poultry or of human H5N1 cases can reduce
their risk of infection by observing the following measures:

World Health Organistation

?Cumulative Number of Confirmed Human Cases of Avian Influenza
A/(H5N1) Reported to WHO
Thailand - 17 cases 12 deaths since 26 December 03. None since 16 December.04?

I hope this answers your question. If it does not, or the answer is
unclear, then please ask for clarification of this research before
rating the answer. I shall respond to the clarification request as
soon as I receive it.
Thank you
