What are specific examples and metaphors of companies/organizations and
leaders who are magnetic i.e. they have the rare ability to attract
and propel their people forward through any kind of chaotic conditions
that exist? I see Google as a magnetic organization. I see Herb
Kelleher (CEO of SouthWest airlines) as magnetic.

Magnetic organizations and leaders tend to have the following in common:

    a. Strong emotional attachments with their people
    b. A highly compelling cause (mission statement, vision etc.) that pulls
       people forward.
    c. Highly motivating reward systems for their people
    d. A high degree of candor
