What you are looking for is a NAT-traversal capable bittorrent client, since you have been NAT-ed by the network admin at your campus. NAT-traversals are explained here: http://www.newport-networks.com/whitepapers/nat-traversal.html The only bittorrent cleint capable of NAT-traversals that I know BitSpirit. A japanese BT client. I had the same problem at my school, and was able to get around it by using a VPN client. However, in order to use this solution, your school must allow for VPN connections. VPN connections are usually used to connect to University services from off campus locations. Check your school's software page to see if a VPN client is listed. It will probably come preconfigured if there is one. |
