Training for a basketball tournament and I want to gain as much leaping ability as possible. What is the best routine to do this. I need to know exact description of exercises and number of sets and ramp up based on which week I am into the exercise. But nothing that puts too much stress on the knees don't want jumpers knee and would prefer not to get shin splits either |

Well I mean I do know of these books and programs along with many other ones. The best information would be if someone actually used one or was a trainer and could verify which ones are better. Or secrets of the trade to not make mistakes. |

If you want to increase your vertical for basketball, the best thing to do is Plyometric exercises. Here is a plyometric workout designed for basketball players you might want to try: http://www.online-basketball-drills.com/plyometric As a coach, I've seen tremendous vertical improvements in one month after performing plyometrics every day. Give it a try! bballguy in Ottawa |
