In Photoshop CS, you can save your workspace layout
(Window->Workspace->Save Workspace). My question is this: where is
this setting stored? I would very much like to be able to back up
and/or export my workspace!

Hello jmfitch-ga

Thank-you for your question. For your answer I am assuming you are
using Windows XP since you did not specify your operating system.

Once you have saved your workspace it is stored here:

C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\Application
Data\Adobe\Photoshop\*VERSIONNUMBER*\Adobe Photoshop CS
Settings\WorkSpaces

The exact path will alter slightly depending on your Windows Username
and the exact version of Photoshop you are using.

The easiest way to find this file is to save your workspace in
Photoshop with a unique name (for instance
jmfitchgooglequestionaboutworkspace or something similar). Then
simply search for this filename using your operating system's search
facility.

In Windows XP, this can be done by going to Start->Search. Search for
"All files and folders" and ensure that the box is checked to search
hidden files and folders in the Advanced Section.

Let me know if this solves your problem and I can post this as the answer.

XP it is; my apologies. The response you provided pretty much takes
care of it; thanks so much!
