In Photoshop CS, you can save your workspace layout (Window->Workspace->Save Workspace). My question is this: where is this setting stored? I would very much like to be able to back up and/or export my workspace! | |

Hello Mike Thank-you again for your question and for accepting my question clarification as your answer. I will copy the answer below for completeness. Once you have saved your workspace it is stored here: C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\*VERSIONNUMBER*\Adobe Photoshop CS Settings\WorkSpaces The exact path will alter slightly depending on your Windows Username and the exact version of Photoshop you are using. The easiest way to find this file is to save your workspace in Photoshop with a unique name (for instance jmfitchgooglequestionaboutworkspace or something similar). Then simply search for this filename using your operating system's search facility. In Windows XP, this can be done by going to Start->Search. Search for "All files and folders" and ensure that the box is checked to search hidden files and folders in the Advanced Section. |
