Question ID: 583321
I need to identify someone selling the Operators Manual for an HP 5995 GC/MS.

If it is the original Hewlett Packard manual I will pay as much as $250. If it
is a photocopy then I will pay $200. It must cover the
operation/maintenance of the 5995.

Please note that the 5995 has been declared obsolete by
Agilent (successor to HP) . They do not support this instrument. I
have already tried
the Library of Congress and several universities which I found still
had the instrument. I have found no one with the manual. Who is
willing to sell this manual?

Howdy ligon-ga,

It might help researchers to know if there are other places you have tried.

For instance, there is Alpha Omega Technologies, Inc. which, in addtition
to their advertised "large inventory of parts to keep your older system up
and running ..." might also have an operator's manual.

They can be reached at 1-800-842-5742.

Further clarification

An advertisment has been placed in LabX inc. (No Luck)
An advertisment has been placed in "Sci Techniques.Mass Spec" news line (No Luck)
I have also contacted "ProLab " , the successor to Teknivent (No Luck)

In addition I have made many other contacts.

I suspect that this question will be successfully answered only by
someone near a university that has this instrument and has the manuals
and is willing to share them.

I have found someone with manuals outside the Google system.

Thanks for the interest.
