Howdy jim47-ga,

Yes, you can mount solar panels on top of your recreational vehicle (RV)
and place them under Plexiglas. The following RV.Net discussion thread
on just this subject points out that you might not need nor want to use
Plexiglas to cover your solar panels.

"Protection of Solar Panels"
http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/14512394.cfm

"There is no need to put anything over your solar panel for protection.
All solar panels are constructed to withstand hail and other objects.
Anything over panels, evey clear plastic, will decrease the panel's
output.

...

To answer your original question - yes. Plexiglas or even standard
glass absorbs a LOT of the ultraviolet, which is what solar panels use
most efficiently. Also any plastic will soon deteriorate from the sun
and only get worse."

If you need any clarification, please feel free to ask.
