Regardless of attitute, you are ABOVE glide-slope and you need to lose altitude. An inverted aircraft would "pitch up" to "go down." PULL. You could also pull the power back a bit, and keep the yoke right where it is. Of course, another good maneuver would be to place your head between your legs and kiss your butt good-bye! weisstho-ga, CFI-AIM |

If you reduce power, you might need to push the stick forward slightly. But don't get caught behind the power curve, since it might be hard to recover from a low altitude stall in the blind while inverted. It would also be wise to be well briefed on the missed approach procedure, since you are unlikely to break out in a position from which a normal landing can be completed at any time, and you will need to execute the missed approach. Especially if you go to DH, which is typically 200 AGL on an ILS. What I wonder is, should you add a notch of flaps? |

Of course if you could see the terminating lights, you could go down to 100' . . . And, of course, if you add a notch of flaps you would get a little lift and get down to the glide path even quicker!! A notch of flaps - you crack me up! |
