I am a holder of a J1 Visa for 18 months and is subject to the two year residency requirement. My visa will expire on December 6, 2005 and I have an extension of 30days after its expiration as a tourist. Lately, I just know about the Waiver and I know I am running out of time. I just wanted to know which category do I fall in order to apply for a waiver? the PL 94-484 is checked under the 2 year residency requirement. what is that PL 94-484? Can I do the " no objection" from my government? As far as my DS 2019 it does not say that I am funded by my government but " all other organizations providing support $ _____" was written. If I apply for the "NO OBJECTION" what are the requirements and what shall I do? Do I qualify for the " N.O."? Can I still work even if my application for waiver is in progress? I am helpless and running out of time. please help..... I really want to stay and work here in the USA and I love my job here. My employer wants to petition me for a H1 Visa but because of the 2 year residency requirement they can't do it. but they said they will support me in whatever legal way in order for me to be free from the residency requirements. i have a good employer but the 2 year requirements blocked all the possibilities of staying here. Can I be able to stay in the country and legally work while my application for waiver is on progress? can anybody help me? | |
