Hi,

I would like someone to compare prices for a few products we sell. I
would like to know if anyone on the web is offering a lower price. If
they are, I would like to know the web site address. Please factor in
shipping costs if possible when comparing prices. Exclude auction
sites such as eBay.

The nine products to compare are:

http://www.signswork.com/Sidewalk/WindMaster_Rolling_Base_Curb_Sign/WindMasterRollingBaseCurbSign.htm

http://www.signswork.com/Sidewalk/Inst_A_Frame/Inst_A_frame_sidewalk_sign.htm

Hi greatchanceofsnow-ga, and thanks for your question... I've been
thinking that we may be getting close to snow season as well!

I've scoured the net looking for online retailers (excluding auction
sites) offering the products you listed for lower prices than at your
shop. The search was somewhat harder than I imagined, given the
number of sites that ultimately link to eBay or some other auction
site, and sites who don't actually offer these signs for sale online.
Many sites also ultimately link back to Amazon.com, which I include if
they happen to have a lower price. For items where your store has the
lowest price, I've listed the nearest online competitor. Your prices
are listed on the first line in parentheses.

I also feel compelled to tell you that your website is by far the best
designed and easiest to navigate of all the sign companies I dug
through.

Here are the results:

________

Windmaster Outdoor Curb Sign with Rolling Base ($183.88)

Jack Ripper & Associates Sign Supplies
http://216.105.54.223/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=83
$175.00, Shipping not specified.

Also, their shopping cart function seems to be broken - I was not able
to add one or get past the screen at the link above.

________

Inst-A-Frame Sidewalk Sign ($89.88)
http://www.signswork.com/Sidewalk/Inst_A_Frame/Inst_A_frame_sidewalk_sign.htm

Nearest competitor:
http://www.elite-signs-outlet.com/11/535.htm?488
$97.77

________

Dry Erase Marker Board Sidewalk Sign ($94.88)

Nearest competitors:

http://www.opensigns.com/sidewalk_signs.htm
$149 with free shipping

http://www.walterwmartin.com/store/prod_detail.cfm?itemid=3360
Walter W. Martin is in Canada, but I include it for comparison because
the ship to the US. Shipping prices are not available without placing
an order.
$128.20

________

Springer Sidewalk Sign ($83.88)

http://www.buyasign.com/3031
$75/each (minimum 2). Shipping $20 ground UPS.

________

Deluxe Sidewalk Swinger Message Board Sign ($132.88)

http://myelitesigns.safeshopper.com/11/641.htm?488
$129.77

It's a little unclear which of these matches the item sold by your
store (or if these two items are actually the same), so I'll include
the second find as well:

http://myelitesigns.safeshopper.com/11/1488.htm?12
$132.77

Shipping policies:

This site seems to be linked to Elite Signs:
http://www.elite-signs-outlet.com/

Found through an ad:
http://www.servicehotline.com/advertising/elitesigns/highlight12.html

Also, Elite Signs sells through Amazon.com, but I haven't found any of
their products listed as available via Amazon.

Great Chance- I wanted to let you know that I did purchase 2 large
banner signs over the internet, from a company in Canada and had them
shipped to me in France. They were Vinyl custom printed Banners 3ft
tall by 5 feet long.

When I am looking on the internet I want to see prices. The "call us
or e-mail us for a quote" with no prices results in my not contacting
them. I applaud you for showing pricing. I didn't even buy form the
chepest company. I bought from this company becaue they wrote a lot on
their website about the inks that they use. They warned me to look out
for cheaper signs that don't use the high quality ink that they use,
and that the cheaper ink signs will fade. When I am going to buy, I
want as much information as possible.

When doing my sign research, there are a lot of signs offered at
Display companies, I think I googled Trade Show Display Companies.
they also sell a lot of sinage, but you probably already knew that.

One more thing, you might want to add on your website that you will
ship to Europe. The French in particular are very reluctant to put any
pricing on their websites, so consequently I don't buy from them. The
English are better but I never buy anything form them because they are
very expensive.

If you just added a few navigation buttons written in Italian, French
and German. And you could simply say in these langauges that you will
ship to their countires you ight get some sales, who knows couldn't
hurt, and I am proof that national borders mean nothing when shopping
on the internet. Also you ight consider putting in the metric sizes
right net to the inches & feet sizes. Just an idea.
