I am in the process of starting an e commerce site selling cell phone
accessories,ring tones,and possibly expanding to other
accessories/electronics.It has taken my partner and myself almost a
year to design this site and in my opinion offer more product than
most competitors.My site is very easy to operate and took extra time
to be sure of this,offer great warrenties,and will have good customer
service. Now that the time to open is almost here im starting to
question wheather we are going to be slamed with orders or if we are
overestimating. My first estimates were between 1000 and 1500 orders a
day I looked a little closer and figured more like 100,huge difference
it is hard to estimate.I have been in the retail business for 5 years
but when it comes to the net anything is possible. My question is does
anyone have actual numbers wheather it be number of orders or dollars.
I would like to know what some of my competitors are doing.

OUR SITE IS HOSTED THROUGH YAHOO AND WE ARE GOING TO PAY THEM 299 A
MONTH TO BE SPONSORED.IN THE BEGINING IT IS GOING TO BE MOSTLY
ADVERTISING THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH,AND ARE LOOKING FOR CHEAP BUT
EFFECTIVE WAYS OF ADVERTISING.THINKING OF DOING TV AND RADIO ADS,MASS
E MAIL,FLYERS,i ALSO KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE STOREFRONTS
AND DONT CARRY ALOT OF THE ITEMS WE WILL HAVE AND WILL REFER PEOPLE.I
NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS THE KEY TO GETTING TO THE TOP OF SEARCH ENGINES.I
