I need a financial advisor or an expert in the field of Finance (state
of texas). I have been out of bankruptcy for 5+ years and this still
haunts me with Experian. They still have all my accounts listed that
were discharged. I need personal assistance with an expert that can
look at my reports and advise me on the best way to improve my
standing within the next 14 months.

Bankruptcy tends to be on your credit report for 7 years and up to 10
years. Unfortunately that will be a large turn off for lenders during
that time.
Although the bankruptcy will remain, you can improve your credit score
in several ways during the next 14 months:
1) "Keep balances low on credit cards and other 'revolving credit'"
2) "Pay off debt rather than moving it around"
3) "Don't close unused credit cards"
4) "PAY YOUR BILLS ON TIME"!!!!! <-- crucial
5) "don't open a lot of new accounts too rapidly"

These and other suggestions can be found at

That is the company that maintains your credit score.

Other than following basic guidelines for responsibly using your
credit, only time will improve your score. I'm not sure just how much
the bankruptcy hurts your score 5 to 7 years later, but I'd guess you
can improve your score by 30 to 40 points in a year if you do what I
mentioned above.

(I realize it's been a while, but I hope the original poster gets the message.)

If any tradelines or creditors have been reporting as anything other
than $0 BALANCE or INCLUDED IN BANKCRUPTCY after recieving the formal
notice of your petition to file bankruptcy 5 years ago, they are
communicating misinformation on your behalf to credit reporting
agencies and this is illegal.

If you have been unable to solve your problem to date, here's how.
First, gather up all the addresses for each creditor that you believe
is reporting false information to the credit reporting agencies (such
Equifax, Experian, TransUnion), then mail them a certifed letter
explaining their errors along with a copy of your discharge papers
issued shortly before your bankruptcy was closed. Demand that they
either delete the tradeline immediately or correct it retroactively.
Which they MUST do!

You should also send a certified letter, with your social security
number on it, (and a picture ID wouldn't hurt) to each of the three
credit reporting agencies listed above. There addresses are:

Equifax Information Services, LLC
PO Box 740241
Atlanta, GA 30374-0241

Experian
701 Experian Parkway
PO Box 2002
Allen, TX 75013

Transunion
2 Baldwin Place
PO Box 1000
Chester, PA 19022
