I have a painting by an artist named E.P. Mendoza.  The title is
"Secretly You're An Angel".  I can't find any info about the artist. 
I was surfing around the web and found another work by the same artist
(same frame, same style, same signature).  I bought the piece on the
cheap.  I was wondering if you could tell me about this artist and how
much my painting might be worth.

just to clarify...I bought the still life "Apples" picture that can be
found by searching "EP Mendoza" in google.  The price was $95.  I
talked to the people selling it and they said that they were just
auctioning off an estate and had no idea how much it was really worth.

I would say that the fact that you cannot find any information on the
artist, E P Mendoza, probably means that his/her works are not very
well known, and are not particularly valuable. The bottom line with
most artworks is that they are worth no more and no less than someone
is willing to pay for them, which appears to be the $95 you paid for
"Apples". You say that the other painting you have is very similar in
style etc, so presumably would be "worth" about the same.
