Is there a graph that shows the relationship between income and average tax paid for the UK? I don't mean just income tax, but all tax put together. For example, poor people are more likely to smoke, and cigarettes are very highly taxed, so that would tend to increase the tax rate of poor people relative to wealthier ones. Taking all such things into account, the question is, given a certain income, what percentage of it goes in tax? |
