Hello,

This is a professional services legal question. My question is, if in
a proposal, no expiration date or schedule was specified, how long
after the signing of that proposal is a professional services firm (in
this case a Web development company) legally obligated to fulfill that
contract at the budget agreed upon? In this situation, a project was
approximately halfway completed when the client ceased communication.
The project has been on hold for nearly 5 months. In this time, our
services have changed as well as our pricing structure and it would
very difficult to
complete the initial project within the budget remaining. Will the
initial proposal become void after a certain amount of time during
which the client does not resurrect the project and if so what is this
timeframe? Must any documentation be submitted to the client?

Thank you.
