Asset Protection Consultant/Planner

I recently was offered a franchise from the Asset Protection Group.
They offer clients "financial privacy" and "asset protection". The
strategy is to use "off shore corporations", "friendly liens", and
"equity stripping".

Their direct to consumer webpage is
http://www.apcg.net/ps.htm?trackcode=bizcom . The problem I have with
this company (although I see a need for the service) is they insist on
$10k upfront in order to be an affiliated agent, and then I refer
clients to them.

I'd like a similar offering, where I'm an independent consultant who
finds clients, makes the presentation and passes them to the back
office to set up the necessary financial instruments. Most similar
offerings pay a commission and yearly residuals.

What companies offer Asset Protection in this manner, and/or compete
with Asset Protection Group? Tax attorneys offer a similar service,
with no residual, but the costs start at $20k. I am not a CPA,
attorney or paralegal.
