Question ID: 584599
I want to use (in a professional way) VOIP. I tried softphones(like
JPhone, XTEN, SNOM, etc) with headsets (a microphone and speaker
jackets, and also a headset with USB). Both gave (different) problems
with echo cancellation: none were perfect (and it has te be perfect).
I would like to have a detailed solution for this. Hardphones VOIP are
not an option because of the price...

Can you post details of your setup?

1. Type of network environment (speed etc)
2. Whether you are making calls to public telephones or is it a pure PC to PC call
3. Which SIP proxy service are you using?

dear vakulgarg-ga,

1. i use a 1 Mbit ADSL (the Netherlands) connecting over Wifi to my
laptop (sony vaio pcg-v505ap, 2,4 GHz Pentium M). The regular setup
however will not be Wifi but fixed cable. All Callcenter employees
will work from home and all have different setups (but at least 1 Mbit
connection).
2. i receive ONLY calls FROM prublic telephones (80% will be cellphones)
3. i use a small company and they use Asterisk as a PBX
