Problem with adding new computer and new user to Windows Server 2003 server. HElp!
I have 5 computers linked to a Window Server 2003. I tried to add a
new computer with new user. This new cocomputer is unable to see the
Server at all. Try to join a domain using various methods. Suprisely,
I am able to see intranet programs such as local intranet instant
messaging but not file sharing, not SQL database servers. This new
computer had DHCP IP adress and can access the internet.

Other computers in the network can see me if this new computer host
SQL database server.

Strange?

Please help!

How many licenses did you buy for 2003 server? enough?
TURN OFF XP FIREWALL within the SERVICES. This is a biggie.

Have you set the new computer on the new domain?
Have you set the DNS within TCPIP?
Can you ping the server by IP? By server name?

check event viewer for any errors that might be happening.
