There was a song that came out after the L.A. Riots that was by a band
with the word "Coup" as part of their name (I think) and they sang a song about
the Rodney King incident. I can only remember part of one line which
was "beat him down to the ground, 20 to 1". Who is the artist and/or song?

Could it be something from the rap group The Coup?

It's not a rap group that sang the song but an alternative music
group. It was really popular on a Los Angeles radio station called
KROQ (the only place I have ever heard the song).

Emergency Broadcast Network (EBN) did a track about Rodney King.
It was quite powerful and had a loop of Rodney saaying: "That Ain't Right".
