I located the following figures:
- The number of complete blood count tests taken in the U.S. (2000)
- The number of complete blood count tests ordered worldwide (2002)
Please let me know via the clarification feature if these numbers
would be a satisfactory answer to your question.

These are partly satisfactory. Would you happen to know of more
recent figures (eg. 2004)? Also, would you happen to have the figures
broken down by country?

No, I didn't locate the figures broken down by country.
I would suggest that we wait a week or so before I post my findings.
That way another researcher can try to answer this question and might
locate more up-to-date information for you.
