Is it ok to feed "raw" corn to animals like chickens?

I'm not a farmer, or a biologist, and I didn't even bother to Google
this or anything, but I'm going to answer anyway, based on a simple
observation of the natural world.

Yes, it's OK to feed raw corn to chickens and other animals that eat corn.

Why?

Because chickens can't cook corn, and before people were around to do
it for them, I'm sure they got by just fine.  :-)

Yes, indeed.  The chickens I know say they have a real problem pecking
at corn mush and the like.

it is recommended feed for ducks (by my local -wildbird-feed store, so
I presume that it would be fine for chickens too
