I need to find a vendor-independent database of consumer electronics
and consumer computer hardware/software that includes specs, images,
geographical info, price, etc.  I cannot use an existing vendor like
amazon nor can I use comparison shopping engines.  This is for
commercial use on the web.

Please, robust, current, and commercial-grade databases only- no
student projects unless they really rock.  I have already seen etilize
and ingram micro.

You could try dotnetnuke.com which allows for a lot of customisation.
Or I could develop you one from scratch if necessary?
