Question ID: 585498
Is there any hardsided luggage that can be carried all three ways: 1:
carried (the usual), 2: wheeled (the usual), and 3: over the shoulders
like a backpack? It's easy to find 1&2, and if you search you can find
a large soft-sided that does 2&3. But I'm looking for a strong, hardsided
suitcase that can carry a good 30kg or more, and can also be carried
by method 3. It must be large enough and strong enough to carry a
tower PC such as Dell PowerEdge 2800

If possible, I'd like that this super-luggage also be able to carry a
small backpack on it, like a piggyback. But that may be impossible.

Price is not an object.

If you go to that site you will see that the largest allowable hard
case carry-on luggage allowed by the FAA is on their site. It is
called the pelican. And the interior dimensions are smaller than the
dimensions of the tower you linked to. Odds are that you are not going
to find a hard case with backpack straps, much less a case big enough
to hold your tower that also has backpack straps. Sorry. Hope you find
something that works..

adventure/sporting gear store) click on luggage and travel. Good Luck

Dragging it up and down staircases is where I need the backpack
ability. I have already given up the idea of making this a carry-on on
the airplane (though would be great if possible). This will be for
travel to Japan, with lots of stairs before the day-of-arrival is
done. Thanks, Formyowngood, for the reioutlet.com website. It didn't
have anything appropriate now, but might in the future. Forti's
comment showed a pretty good case, but I didn't see that he has the
backpack carry feature. I would think that such an item exists, but I
couldn't find one, that's why I submitted this to Google Answers.
Thank you all for looking
