You might be making a mistake ruling out answers involving consumption. Raw potatoes are really toxic. (Cooking denatures the toxins.) I think the fatal dose is something on the order of a dozen or so -- around five pounds. I might have the numbers wrong, but whatever, potatoes are without doubt a major exemption to the idea that all things natural are good. |

Potatoes that have green buds growing from them are highly toxic -a toxin which is not neutralized by the heat. It is easy enough to discern, but fatalities occur due to ignorance from time to time. |
