I would like to know about a fairly accurate Ptolemaic model of the
solar system. Even though we know that the Earth is not the center of
our Solar System, I have read that Ptolemy?s model was tweaked in such
a way that it became fairly accurate for years with only minor
adjustments to keep it such. I figure it would be an interesting
contrast to the traditional solar system if there is some interesting
information about it. I would also like to get some historical insight
too. I?m willing to give a $10 tip for an answer.

Hello Piratedan,

Could you explain a little more fully what kind of "interesting
information" you need about the model?

For example, are you looking for comparisons between Ptolemy,
Copernicus, and Brahe's models?
Are you interested in simulations of the models?
Or is your interest in other kinds of information?

I had heard that there was some adjustment made to Ptolemy's model that
made it more accurate. I'm interested in information about that change
in particular. I don't know if it has a particular name or not, but I'm
interested in knowing who made the adjustment and when, and what it
did. Any comparisons between Ptolemy, Copernicus, and Brahe's models
would also be great. I hope that clears things up!
