On the Newshour (11/1/02), Brooks mentioned having a wife.

"DAVID BROOKS: My wife is a Minnesotan and that's all true..."

Does this answer your question?

Yes, this probably answers my question, Obviously, some gay guys get
married. So he may still be gay. I had heard that he once obliquely
identified himself as gay on the NewsHour.

Okay.

David Brooks is married to a woman and is the father of three children.

On the Newshour (11/1/02), Brooks mentioned having a wife.
"DAVID BROOKS: My wife is a Minnesotan and that's all true..."

In the acknowledgments of his book, "On Paradise Drive," Brooks writes:
"Finally, props go out to my wife, Jane..."

From an interview with Seattle Pacific University's Response magazine.
"My wife and I live in Bethesda, Maryland, a suburb of Washington,
D.C., and we have three kids; the oldest is 13."
