My son is 10 and my daughter is 11. Each of them has profitable goals
of starting a small business. I have tried every search engine and
bookstore to find a book of business start up basics for kids by kids.
I thought about starting out with Whiz Teens in Business, but I am
picky in the sense that I don't want anything that cramps their
creativity.

Howdy, puzzlepilot!

I've found info on several books that your budding entrepreneurs may
find useful. Two of these are highly recommended by a friend's
12-year-old son. This seventh grader is pulling in a nice income with
his home-based Web design business (and making stellar grades in
school, too). He says that he's thinking of setting up a website
specifically geared toward kids and teens who are interested in
starting their own businesses. And if he does it, I bet he'll succeed.

Here's the list that I have gathered. The first two books are the ones
recommended by my friend's son, the junior tycoon. I found the others
by noodling around on Amazon (noodling is one of my strong points).

Thanks so much! These are exactly the kinds of books that I was
looking for, and I really appreciate the effort that you put into
organizing the response so clearly. I'm just curious, how long did it
take you to find all the books and write the answer?
