We have a local fish chips that we go to about 2 times a month. They
told me I could not use the bathroom because of their insurance. To
get to the bathroom you have to go behind the counter and about 6
steps into the back kitchen. Also this restaurant does not have high
chairs for the same reason. So we bring a clamp on high chair for our
baby. The restaurant is in Fountan Valley, CA. Orange County.

I thought someone might ask... My bad.

Are these a genuine reasons or is the fish chips owner just full of
it? My husband says we should just not eat there anymore.

It may be difficult to confirm communications between the owner and
his insurance company. The place is probably not legally required to
provide toilet facilities for customers unless the building was built
since January 2004 and there is eating space on the premises, and if
it does, the path to them cannot go through the kitchen, according to
the California Health and Safety Code, sections 114105 and 114120.

If you don't like their policies or how you are treated, then don't
give them your business! It's very simple.
