Hi,
I had a web site programmed and built in the US. It is for a global
company with offices in Hong Kong. The companies collegues in Hong
Kong mentioned that there are certain pages on the web site that do
not work properly. These pages work fine in other countries but not in China.
Please let me know if you can offer any advice on what could be
causing the problem or how to fix it. The web site was built using
basic HTML coding and there is nothing complicated in the
coding. Web Site: www.bgplastics.com, pages that do not work: the
printing section on the site - the images do not show up in the
circles on the sub pages.

Thank you!

It is only a guess, but it may have something to do with the filters
the Chinese government uses for censorship. After all, Chinese is a
totalitarian communist country. But then, I'm not an expert.

I'm in the us, but if I'm not mistaken, the nature of the censorship
is preventing a page/site from being seen altogether, not alteration
of the page that can be seen.

Probably the biggest thing you can do to help track down the problem
is to have someone who is having difficulty with the site take a
screen cap and post it so anyone viewing this question can see exactly
what you're talking about. Right now, we don't know the nature of the
improperly rendered page, so its guesswork at the moment.

1.can you descibe what you see when you put the mouse on the circle
2.try to use java with out function, example:

<td onMouseOver="photoB.src='photoSite/menu_B1.gif'"
    onMouseOut="photoB.src='photoSite/menu_B.gif'"
    width="80"
    height="25">
    <a href="index.asp?pageNum=2&frameZoom=True">
    <img src="photoSite/menu_B.gif" name="photoB" width="80" height="25"
         border="0" alt="?????? ?? ?????? ?????? ???????"></a></td>

in this ezample you can see that i didnt used with java script only

The Chinese censorfilters do not apply to Hong Kong. Under the "one
country, two systems" agreement in this aspect China is treated as a
different entity from the mainland.

Try to find out if the browser being used in your HongKong office is
in deed the same as used at different location. If it is same ask you
HongKong office if they have some default setting for there browser
installed browser.
