The S&P 500 is down 30% over the past 3 years. Today, Aug 26, it closed at just under $950. 3 years ago it was at approximately $1350. There are well over 2000 publically traded companies on the NYSE/NASDAQ/AMEX exchanges which have returned better than 0% for the past three years. Yahoo! Stock Screener: http://screen.yahoo.com/stocks.html Yahoo! Finance Chart for S&P 500 over last 3 years http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^SPB&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=3y&l=on&z=l&q=l Note that Y! Finance doesn't allow you to do a chart for 3 years normally but you can change the t=2y field in the URL to t=3y to create a 3 year chart. |
