I saw this film on cable 4 to 6 months ago. Unfortunately, I was only
able to see 10 minutes of the film and make a mental note to record
the tile, which of course I did not do. It seemed (though I'm not
certain) to be a Mexican, Brazilian or Spanish production. The
production value reminded me of a well made American indie film. The
story set in a city, revolved around a girl around 20 years old, who
was in debt, and searching among friends and perhaps enemies to raise
the money. She was always riding around on this small motorcycle
(moped) - and the most unforgettable thing about the film was that the
camera would be placed directly behind her head (very close) when she
was riding (or walking) which created the feeling that we, the
audience, were riding along. I think at one point her boss, or some
older man, suggested he'll get her the money if she sleeps with him. I
also remember her arriving home and listening to her messages. There,
was of course, a love interest but my recollection is vague. That's
really all that I remember except that I was very taken by the film,
its unique style (expecially the camerawork) and the stoic beauty of
the young actress. Please let me know the title and/or how to best
search for this film. Thanks. |

To clarify, this film is obscure. It is not famous like Run Lola Run
or Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. If it was released in
the U.S, it was probably released on a limited basis. Also, to
clarify, the heroine was around twenty years old, with as I recall
dark hair.
