Question ID: 586675
Symptoms: When I sync my Palm Tungsten E with my "Above&Beyond 2004"
desktop calendar program on my Windows XP computer, certain
appointment times change. An appointment created on the desktop during
daylight savings (but not
during standard time) shifts -- on the palm it shifts by one hour and
stays there, while on the desktop it keeps shifting another hour every
time I sync. (While on daylight savings time, appointments shifted
later. Now that my area switched to standard time, they shift in the
other direction.) The only thing that stops the shift is to mark an
appointment as "done" without ever having synced it.
This problem began sometime in early September, I think -- no idea
why. Before that, everything worked perfectly. No other Windows or
Palm programs have problems with dates/times.
What I have already tried: I have uninstalled and reinstalled A&B and
the Palm Desktop and tried earlier versions of both as well. I have
triple checked my time zone settings in the Windows XP Control Panel
and on the Palm. I have checked the registry for errors.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

When we had daylight savings time, the A&B "time line" on the desktop
showed all cities as one hour too late. This problem started about the
same time as the syncing problem. Now that we're in standard time, the
time line is correct.
ALSO: I just disabled a utility to sync the palm time with the
desktop, and now the offending appointments shift later on both palm
and desktop (i.e., the same behavior during standard time as it was
during daylight savings).
