Question ID: 58679
What is the diameter of the opening of a 12 & 16 oz paper cup made by
DIXIE and SOLO for restaurant use. I am looking for the opening
diameter, to the very edge of the paper "lip". Are the DIXIE paper
cups and the solo paper cups the same size opening for both sizes?
Also, are these two brands the most popular for use in coffee shops
and cafes, etc. Thank you.

It will be beneficial to be more specific. Dixie, for
example, makes more than one version of 12oz and 16oz
cups, for both cold and hot beverages, for the
restaurant service industry. They also make some cups
only available in Canada. I'm sure Solo has a similar
variety to choose from.

I am interested in the US sizes for hot beverage paper cups. Both
companies apparently have the same size openings as to accomodate
generic plastic lids to fit over them. Whatever is the most common in
the US for coffee shops for example.

Hi again. When I browsed Dixie's site, they didn't have the sizes
posted anywhere. It occurred to me that I could go across the
street to Dunkin Donuts and find out the size of at least one of
the brands, but then I could spend the rest of the day trying to
find the other one (depending on its popularity). What!? And lose
the indentation in my couch? lol...
