The political positions and influence of evangelical Christians and
their churches/sects continue to get a lot of play in the media, but
one hears and reads little or nothing about the positions and
influence of non-evangelical Christians. Why not? Do they not have or
take positions publicly?

Pink, I should have acknowledged that the political positions of
Catholics and of the Catholic church (e.g., council of bishops) have
indeed gotten media coverage, but where are the mainstream Protestant
churches on the hot button issues and why don't we read about that?
Are they apathetic or do they simply prefer remaining below the radar?

I have seen quite a bit of media coverage of the positions of the
Catholic Church and the influence of well-known Catholics.
