Hi,

I'm interested in knowing about the electrical systems in on-road and
off-road hobby radio controlled cars and trucks that are powered by
electric motor(s).

I want to know the difference and how to grade these motors and how to
choose the right one with the right battery and charger combinations
for appropriate and peak performance requirements under heavy
environmenal conditions such as heat and dust.

Moth the electrical/electronic systems and motor come in stock and in
higher end modified versions, I'm only interested in light background
on the stock portion and would like to focus on modified and high end.

Also, I'm interested in off and on-road cars only, not planes or heli's.

I would be interested to know about their well being and maintenance,
such as sprays and good habits to keep them up and up.

Thank you.

Hello again Mao:

From RC Universe:

RC Universe's discussion of batteries and chargers focuses mostly on
airplanes, but many manufacturers under discussion also make RC cars:

Searching for "battery and charger combination," I wasn't able to find
specific advice for best combinations for various conditions. (You
might find that trolling a forum, or by posting such a question at a
forum.) Here is what I found:

Hobby Projects: "Control Circuits":
http://www.hobbyprojects.com/C/Control_Circuits.html

"Buying RC":
http://www.rcxotic.com/contentid-16.html
Scroll down to batteries and chargers -- but the guide doesn't really
address combinations; just offers recommendations in each category.

Since you're a beginner, it may be easier if you purchase a car with a
"combo pack."

At Freund's Remote Control Vehicle Center
http://rc-cars-4-u.com/index.html
See:
http://rc-cars-4-u.com/information.html
"To get started in Radio Control [electric or gasoline], we offers
many special Combo Packs which include all the products you'll need to
get started: Car, Radio, Battery Pack, and Promax Charger."

At BatterySpace, see "RC Batteries":
http://forums.batteryspace.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=8&sid=463efe1986034e37e0787e574a07da34

Searching for remote-controlled cars along with terms like "light
background" +"stock portion" +modified OR high end, or
"remote-controlled cars AND electronic systems AND modified OR high
end" other combinations, I didn't come up with much of anything.
However, there is some information about stock and modified, etc., in
some of the resources I've cited.
