Dear All I am trying to connect to GPRS through HyperTerminal using AT commands with nokia 5140 (cellcom provider in Israel- support edge technologic) herin what i've done, : at OK at+cgdcont=1,"ip","internetg" OK atd*99# CONNECT ~ }#À!}!} } }2}#}$À#}!}$}%Ü}"}&} }*} } g}%~~ }#À!}!} } }2}#}$À#}!}$}%Ü}"}&} } after it types "CONNECT" I receive this garbage and the hyper terminal stuck - until I disconnect the mobile manually, Why does the hyper terminal stuck? (I want to send data from my application to the internet, or I want to access the internet from my browser)How can I access the internet? I can connect using win XP dialup connection - but I want to use only AT commands! Thanks Avi |

Hi there, Thanks for your question. I maybe have a solution for you. Possible solution 1) Use the sequence as you used before, but instead of: at+cgdcont=1,"ip","internetg" try: at+cgdcont=1,"ip","internet" Thus no 'g'. Please note that the string "ip" and "internet" can be different, depending on what provider you use (check this first with your provider). Possible solution 2) Use the sequence as you used before, but instead of: atd*99# use: atd*99***1# Possible solution 3) Maybe it helps to reset the AT commands, by entering as the first command: atz instead of at And then the sequence you used above. Try combining the possible solutions I mentioned. If you still receive garbage, you might have a 'bad line'. Try to use your cellphone at a different location (with better reception) to see if it helps.. Bye! |

Thanks for your comment. I have allready tried all the option you mentioned but it didn't worked, I have also talked with my provider and it should be "internetg". I think it somthing that is connected to the "PPP" connection? |
