I am looking for a news article about a waiter/waitress who was shot
and killed by a fellow employee because she/he was verbally abusing
her/him. I think this happened in San Francisco about 10 years ago.

Hello.

Actually, the shooting was just five years ago.

An article about the event appeared in the SF Chronicle on July 25,
1997. The article, "Cook Shot Waitress Over Egg Order, Police Say," by
Henry K. Lee begins as follows:
"A cook at a popular 24-hour diner in San Francisco's theater district
shot and killed a waitress yesterday morning, a day after she scolded
him for making poached eggs because the dish wasn't on the menu,
police said."
For the whole article visit:

search strategy: san francisco, chronicle, waitress, shot

I hope this helps.
