What title is appropriate for my new consulting company? President? CEO? Principal? It is a cunsulting group focused on HR, ERP and IT. I don't want it to sound like a small Mom and Pop shop. Thanks |

It depends on the legal aspect of your company. If it is a Limited Company (Ltd) or Incorporated (INC) company then CEO, Managing Director or President are correct and recognised by the relevant authoritities. By the sounds of it you are a one man (or woman) band and probably not registered. So why dont you stick with the safe ground; HR consultant IT consultant Consultant or Owner I tend to change my title to match the audience. Some people want to know they are speaking with the owner and some others want to know they are speaking with someone technical, so I then become the technical director. |
