I am looking for a graphics card that can output both S video and
Composite video. The graphics card I have at the moment is only
capable of outputting S video, thus meaning I am unable to link it
directly to a composite only device. I know I can get an S video to
composite adaptor; however I don?t want to do this.

Most of the cards that enable me to do this seem to be video capture
cards as well as graphics cards. It must be noted that I don?t need
video capture function as I am only looking for TV out output. I also
remember seeing a few suitable cards a few years ago, however I am
looking for something more up to date, but also fairly cheap.

Your comments would be much appreciated

Hi Adam,

There are multiple cards that fit this profile today priced anywhere
from ~100 - ~699 from what I've seen.

If you go to most large online retailers of video card hardware you
will find them easily. Cards now come with all all combinations, I
saw one recently that was $93.00 plus shipping and had TV-Out:
HDTV/S-Video/Composite .. so they are very affordable now.

I know this is a bit vague, but I don't want to tell you to go to one
vendor over another. If you have more questions let me know.

please could you give me an example of the card you saw as it is
proving impossible to find one of these cards. All the retailers I
have been to in the UK said they don't stock such cards other than
video editing cards with video in provision. I don't want video in
provision as I already have a good video editing baord. All I want is
an AGP graphics card with seperate S video and composite video out
ports.

What video card are you using now? The brand and model number please.

Are you looking for an add-on card or a completely new card for an AGP slot?

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card by replacing my Geforce4
64meg. I am looking for an AGP 8x or 4X with 2 separate (don?t want
to use conversion cable) composite and S video ports. I am mainly
buying the card for decent TV out capabilities as I am not a gamer.
As I said I have only seen a few older cards with composite and S
video out ports on the same card. In addition the card should come
with driver support that will allow a different picture on the TV out
than on the monitor. The reason I want to do this is so I can send a
movie to the TV while working on my monitor at the same time. Hope
this clarifies you question.

Thanks Adam
