I am looking for a list of the top 50 celebrities who have a connection to Iowa. 
This could include: 
1) College athletes that played at Iowa universities that continued to
play professionally.
2) TV or Radio personalities that were born, grew up, or went to school in Iowa.
3) TV or movie actors that were born, grew up, or went to school in Iowa.
4) High profile CEOs (Fortune 500) that were born, grew up, or went to
school in Iowa.

Who would be considered among the "Top Ten" is subjective and would be
a matter of opipnion. I have located lists containing the names of
hundreds of famous Iowans but there is no foromal list that I know of
that orders the notable Iowans in terms of who is/was considered among
the Top Ten. Are the lists I've found suitable to you as an answer? At
the very least you could view the list and choose who, in your own
opinion, ranks among the top ten.

Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question. As I
mentioned easiler, I found no "Top 50 List" for Iowa notables but here
is an extensive list of famous Iowans in alphabetical order courtesy
of the Des Moines Register that appears to number several hundred
individuals (or more).

(Note: The list is impressive and I would have recreated it here for
you if I could have, but there are copyright issues that prevented me
from doing that. Alternatively I am providing some convenient links to
