Hi,

My client has an ecommerce site but he's redirected even the
non-secure pages (eg the home page) to a secure server. Now he wants
me to optimise his site.

I have 2 questions:
- if the home page is getting redirected, from a search engine point
of view, does the http://wwww.example.com site even exist?

- can I submit a https://www.example.com page to search engines - or
should I get him to sort out his site?

Thanks,
Eamonn Mc Greevy

Google will index https pages according to this article:

And if you search for "go to my pc" the first link is to a https site
(https://www.gotomypc.com/)
