Hi i'm looking for a list of websites (ideally 10-20)selling items
that could be broadly considerd "motoring style", "supercar style" or
"car couture". These are relatively new phrases but bascially mean any
fashion item which is in someway linked to motoring.

PLease note i am not interested in aftermarket parts for cars (unless
it is very unusual and interesting i.e. not wheels, body kits etc)

Hello esher-ga,

I?ve done some preliminary research on your question and I?ve
discovered that I need some additional input from you. In particular,
it would be very helpful if you could define what you mean by
?motoring style? / ?supercar style? / ?car couture? especially in
light of your comment that you?re ?not interested in aftermarket
parts? or accessories.

My research shows that ?supercar style? elements and what is
considered ?car couture? are usually original equipment on the car
when it comes from the car maker. Other ?car couture? and ?motoring
style? items are sold as after-market items to spiff up the car. These
terms seem to refer to what owners do to enhance their cars.

Your question asked about merchandise and apparel which seems to imply
that you?re looking for stylish items for the driver of the car.
Please give us a some examples of merchandise and apparel that
illustrates the kinds of sites you?re looking for.

Also, take a look at the links for the AAIW show and pay special
attention to vendors / exhibitors. Can you locate the types of
products you?re looking for by searching these sites?

I look forward to your clarification.

HI CZH,

thanks for your preliminary work. The question is a difficult one as
it relates to a new sector.

To clarify; what i am seeking is links to brands that offer lifestyle
fashion items linked to supercars. Items should be for the driver not
the car. They could inlcude anything that you might find in a luxury
retailers (i.e. Gucci) range.

To get a feel for what i'm after have alook at the following sites
which aret all retailers but are focused towards this sector;

www.dunhill.com - fashion retailer
http://www.intersectionmagazine.com/ - magazine
http://www.playersrun.com/ - a rally

hope this clarifies

cheers

Easter
Have to say i'm disappointed by the results of that as all but two are
motorcyle leathers/equipment suppliers which is pretty far from
fashionable!! i'm after motoring related stuff rather than riding. can
you find some more stuff along the lines of studio-g, which was
perfect 4 more of those i'd be over the moon. It seems form their
website that exhibitors lists of the major UK motor shows may be a
good place to get them from.
cheers

Hello esher-ga,

There are other ways to post this type of question to make sure that
you get exactly what you want while giving multiple researchers the
chance to contribute. The technique was developed by one of our
customers and has been adopted by others. Here's how it works.

The customer posts a question explaining the item/information they're
looking for and posts a "per item" price that takes into account not
only the value of the information to the customer but also the
difficulty of the research. Researchers then post what they've found
either as a Clarification or as a Comment. The Customer reviews the
suggested answers and posts a question to the attention of the
specific researcher, so the researcher can get paid.

You could use this technique by posting a new question and inviting
multiple researchers to see what else they can come up with.

Good luck.
