my foreign friend asked me to buy him a car in usa and ship it
overseas. suppose, a car costs ~10,000$, plus shipping costs ~3,000$.
my fee could be ~200$.

would i have to report this transaction in my tax return? if i've to
pay tax, how much would it be?

Sales and use tax differ from state to state.  It may be helpful to
tell us what state you live in. =)
