is it possible to buy a cordless phone in the uk that can have a corded
phone attached to the base unit?

You could simply buy a two way phone connector May cost .99c or so.
That way you could connect one connection to Cordless phone and one to
corded one

I agree with previous comment and have done just this. You are only
limited by the REM number of phones in the house. I have a mix of
normal corded phones and cordless.
