When and from what language the bible was translated into Japanese
version?   And how many different Japanese (bible) versions in Japan
today?   What about Chinese and Taiwanese translation?

This site states that the first Japanese Bible was introduced into
Japan in 1549 when Francis Xavier arrived with a manuscript
translation but it does not state from what language the translation
was made:

This site states that the first complete Bible in Chinese appeared in 1908:

I read something by "Brother David" about some success he had
importing bibles to communist China when they had red covers - it
being socially acceptable to be seen in public with a little red book
(externally resembling Mao's).
