I've had the very last bit of a song stuck in my head for weeks now,
and I can't figure out where it came from. I'd like the artist,
album, and song title if possible. I've done some googling on these
lyrics of course, and can only find a few instances of people using
them on their blogs or as signature lines without crediting the
source. I've tried asking a few of them, and have received no
replies.
I'm a radio DJ at a college station, so I listen to so much new music
that I can't keep it all straight in my head. I believe that this
music is fairly new, probably released within the last year, and is
almost certainly from a small record label.
The music itself, from what I remember, is somewhat experimental and
has an electronic feel, though it's not Techno. The lyrics are sung
quickly by many voices, at least one male and one female.
These are the lyrics that occur at the very end of the song, though
they may be repeated. They may not be exact.
"
Ear to the ground, I sift through piles of fallen letters. Copying
keys, roll down my sleeves, a part of the hanging garden city.
Downtown the sound of single people doing nothing.
"
These lyrics may not be exact, but they sound right. The only part
that I remembered completely is the very last line: "Downtown the
sounds of single people doing nothing"
If you can find this out for me, you will be my hero. |
