Question ID: 588994
My girlfriend has a tremendous amont of MAC make-up. For Christmas she
has asked for some way to have everything organized and displayed on
our vanity counter... simial to the way you would see them on display
at the MAC counter in a department store. However, after searching
everything I could find on Google, I still have not come up with
something that matches what I'm looking for. Help! Here is a general
despription of what I want. If you're familiar with the shape of MAC
cosmetics containers (www.maccosmetics.com) it would help. Let's say
it an acrylic display... approximately 12-18" high. Four or more
tiers. I want to be able to put approximately 25 different eye shadow
containers, 15 lipstick tubes, and misc brushes/ applicators. I'm NOT
interested in a "case" that holds everything, because that wouldn't
look nice sitting open on my counter all the time. I'm truly looking
for something like what they use at the MAC Counters. They have
little circle recesses in them for each of the eye shadows, holes for
each lipstick, etc. I thought I'd be able to find an actual MAC
display on eBay from some store closing or fixture liquidation, but I
can only assume they get returned to MAC since I've not been able to
find anything. The display doesn't have to be acrylic, that's just the
way I picture it. My budget for the item is around $100, however I'd
be willing to spend more if it were perfect. Please help me find this
gift. Thank you!! :)

Chris53717,

I didn't find a MAC Specific tray; however this Prescriptives Store
Counter Display might fit.

Perhaps you can order a larger display here:

Would this one meet your needs?

bobbie7,

I looked at the item on eBay and sent the seller a question regarding
if the sizes would be compatible. I also checked the other two links,
which were ones that I had come across in the past. They appear to do
design and manufacturing of the displays, which I assume will put them
outside of my budget. However I did email them as well to inquire
about the details. Would you be able to see if you can come up with
anything else? I beleive there has to be someone, somewhere who sells
what I'm looking for...

I checked with some cosmetics representatives at a local store and
unfortunatly they told me that there are strick rules about what
happens to the displays, even old or broken ones. They said they are
all returned to that particular cosmetic lines office. While
discouraging, I still have to believe that they are somehow available.
Everything else is available online... I never guessed this would be
any different. Would you mind researching for me a little more to see
if you can find anything else?

chris53717,

Thank you for your clarification. I will resume my search; however I
am not very optimistic. I will let you know the results of my research
as soon as possible. In any case this question is still open and other
researchers can work on it as well.

Best regards,
Bobbie7

Hello again chris53717,

IŽve been searching on and off all day long and I have not been able
to locate anything better than the ebay display.

Did you receive an answer from the vendors?

Would the MAC cosmetics fit?

I look forward to your comments.

Thanks,Bobbie7

I just checked the auction for the Prescriptives Store Counter Display.

There is already one bid on it. Was that your bid? If it isn't youŽd
better hurry or someone else will get it.

Have you contacted MAC public relations? Indicate that your friend
has x number of products from MAC and would really like this thing.
You could offer 100$ for it and see what they say. You never know
what a company would be willing to do for a good customer. Maybe
include a photo of your friend with all those MAC products.
