Can a 501(c)3 organization give a donation to another 501(c)3 organization?

The United Way is considered a charitable organization.  They use the
money they collect to fund other organizations.  This is a quote from
their website:

"United Way of America and member United Way organizations are
501(c)(3) organizations. The agencies they fund are either 501(c)(3)
organizations or other 501(c) exempt organizations recognized as being
charitable or having a "public purpose.""
