I'm trying to find out what sporting events in the world have the
biggest and most diverse gambling turnover. For example, the
"Melbourne Cup", a horse race in melbourne this year is expected to
take around $100m in bets, probably half of this from people who
almost never bet on sporting events ie therfore diverse because it
brings out a range of people from professionals to old-ladies to
school kids. A good approach might be to get say the top 10 events and
then find out the typical weekly betting on an event. eg. An Average
weekend race in Melbourne might attract $1m, compared to one hundred
million for the Mlb Cup?? therfore 100x might be an indication of
diversity.. just a suggestion. Anyway, i can't even find out the
highest turnover, so that would be of great help. thank-you
